PTMP-6000, Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multi-Point equipment, is specifically tuned for highest performance, full-duplex, configurable and cost effective wireless mesh network for the longest reach of an outdoor wireless network in LOS or NLOS deployments.
The PTMP-6000 is a true multi‐radio Layer 2 switching wireless mesh solution providing nearly full duplex performance. It combines multiple dedicated radios for mesh backhaul and client access in each unit. This provides exponentially greater sustainable throughput and lower latency over multiple hops compared to other mesh solutions. This highly optimised yet flexible solution supports broad range of voice, video and data applications.
The PTMP self-configures and self-forms a multi-hop wireless mesh network. With PTMP series products, one can quickly set up or expand a highly redundant wireless mesh network infrastructure. Its proven multi-radio architecture enables unlimited scalability of thousands of mesh nodes.
PTMPs communicate with each other and perform intelligent analysis, ensuring that the network’s performance is always at its peak. If problems arise, the system has the intelligent ability to “self-tune” and “self-heal” itself instead of breaking down. There’s no single point of failure. Each unit is fully aware of its neighbour, and, in the event of an adjacent unit’s failure or overload, it will redirect traffic. Customers can now benefit from a wireless system that satisfies network-wide reliability.
PTMP-6000 supports centralized provisioning and easy remote manageability via Cloud controller, CLI, HTTP and SNMP. The device also supports remote firmware updates and includes monitoring, trending, and troubleshooting options from a centralized NOC. PTMP-6000 supports event logging and statistics, Layer-2 and Layer-3 NAT monitors, client monitor and reports signal strength history.
